Memphis Music in the Movies

I remembered this amusing scene from the Academy Award-nominated film Munich and tried to tell Teenie (Hodges) and Hubbie (Mitchell) about it; but I didn't track it down until last week, in a series of clips containing the whole movie posted on YouTube. I showed it to Hubbie over here before he left for NYC to rehearse for the Cyndi Lauper tour, and he said, "Oh yeah, we're getting paid something for Munich." "We" would be Hi Rhythm in this case. Here's what that Munich line item is for.

I pulled out just the scene I wanted to share, but the build-up to the good part is too long to put in a blog post, so here's the setup: the crew of Israelis out to assassinate the killers of Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics get booked into the same safe house in Athens as a crew of Palestinians. After pointing guns at each other, the Israelis identify themselves as some other group to the Palestinians so the two groups can both share the safe house. There is an old radio in the safe house.
